About the Role

The Demand Generation Specialist at Microsoft is part of the Marketing Operations Team within the Central Marketing Organization (CMO). The role involves connecting strategy with execution by orchestrating data-driven marketing programs that support demand generation efforts. The position requires collaboration across departments, building stakeholder relationships, and streamlining processes to deliver impactful campaigns at scale. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the demand generation process from intake to execution, including planning and deploying email, paid media, and social tactics.
  • Use internal tools to track campaign requests, coordinate assignments, facilitate approvals, and ensure alignment with overall strategy and execution guidelines.
  • Enhance and scale campaign execution processes by leveraging AI tools to automate workflows, optimize targeting, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and analytics teams to execute and refine demand generation initiatives.
  • Engage proactively with key stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular performance updates, and ensure alignment with marketing goals.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics and present insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Embody the company's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ years experience in integrated marketing, program management, marketing operations, or related work experience.
  • 1+ years experience in B2B email marketing, including automation, audience segmentation and targeting, testing, reporting, and attribution.
  • 1+ years experience using email marketing platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Hubspot, etc.
  • 1+ years experience summarizing, interpreting, analyzing, and communicating demand generation performance insights.
  • 1+ years experience managing complex projects, handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years experience in B2B email marketing, including automation, audience segmentation and targeting, testing, reporting, and attribution.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale demand generation campaigns in a global, matrixed organization with budgets upward of $1.5M USD.
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven marketing tools such as AI-based content personalization or predictive analytics.
  • Current or prior Marketo Certified Expert designation.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or similar credential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ years experience in relevant marketing and program management areas.

Benefits & Perks

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year.
  • Different pay ranges apply to specific locations such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City, with ranges USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
