About the Role

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a DevOps Engineer IV (Remote) for our premier client. The role involves building and maintaining production infrastructure and services, developing processes and tools, evaluating new software and hardware solutions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring infrastructure security. The position requires expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and distributed systems, with a focus on AWS and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain the production infrastructure and services.
Develop and maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of production.
Participate in the evaluation of new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues.
Ensure proper security for the infrastructure.

Requirements

Experience with AWS.
Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
Proficiency with Terraform.
Experience in scripting and development with languages such as Go, Java, Python, Perl, Shell.
Experience with open source monitoring and alerting systems.
Experience with web applications and open source web technologies.
IP networking experience and familiarity with load balancing technologies.
Experience with systems automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack.
Experience with big data systems and distributed systems such as Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, Hadoop.
Knowledge of software development methodologies including code profiling, regression testing, continuous integration, and deployment.
Experience as a developer working with large distributed systems or as a systems administrator/engineer.
Experience with high-availability, high-performance web technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms, open source databases, and caching layers.
Automates infrastructure build-out in AWS utilizing Ansible, Packer, and Terraform.
