DevOps Engineer- Mid-level

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy applications and install and configure complex software.
• Manage servers, networks, and technology tools.
• Monitor and maintain the system for required levels of security and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support, roughly one week out of every 6-8 weeks, with additional hours charged during on-call weeks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DevOps engineering.
• Experience with Linux, AWS, MASH, and VMs.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases such as Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL.
• Experience with networking, firewalls, load balancers, Terraform scripting, VM provisioning, and deployment of distributed web applications.
• Proficiency with Docker, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, and Public Key Infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with eVo, CoDE, and UWE environments.
• API Gateways.
• ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) maintenance and configuration.
• Python scripting and development.
• Java / Spring Boot troubleshooting.
• Kafka Message Broker.
• Hazelcast Memory Cache.
• Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Nginx Web Server.
• Ansible scripting.
• Monitoring and Alerting.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate polygraph.
