DevOps Engineer- Mid-level

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy applications
• Install and configure complex software
• Manage servers, networks, and technology tools
• Monitor and maintain the system for required levels of security and performance
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support (roughly one week out of every 6-8 weeks)
• Charge 4 additional hours for the week on call in addition to hours worked

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DevOps engineering
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with AWS, MASH, and VMs
• Experience with Relational Databases (Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL)
• Knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
• Experience with Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
• Experience with deployments of distributed web applications
• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose container technology
• Experience with Docker Swarm
• Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure

Nice to Have

• Experience with eVo, CoDE, and UWE environments
• API Gateways experience
• ELK stack (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana) maintenance and configuration
• Python scripting and development
• Java / Spring Boot troubleshooting (error logs)
• Kafka Message Broker
• Hazelcast Memory Cache
• Kubernetes
• Zookeeper
• Nginx Web Server
• Ansible scripting
• Monitoring and Alerting
• Experience with Agile software development practices

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate polygraph
