About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Staying up to date with industry best practices and innovation.
• Work with product owners, architects, and developers to support project work and manage software releases to QA/Production, including configuration updates.
• Identify failure patterns and resolve problems at their root.
• Provide high-performance cloud deployment solutions and maintain rapid deployment pipelines, server monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Implement best practices for securing various platforms.
• Work directly with the DevOps team to test system integrity.
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management processes.
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members on development and operations.
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
• Manage day-to-day project administration and documentation.
• Manage the Continuous Deployment pipeline.
• Document and design various processes and update existing ones.

Requirements

• Computer Science/Engineer related Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Three or more years of industry experience.
• At least 1 year of AWS experience in a business environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in a DevOps role.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a production platform.
• At least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Linux, Windows, and Networking layers.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• A passion for continuous learning and the ability to learn quickly.

Nice to Have

• Solid understanding of microservices development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, KeyCloak, Serverless Computing, GraphQL, APIs, APIM.
• Good skills working with JSON, XML, YAML files.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, awk, sed, Ansible, Salt Stack, Terraform.
• Experience working in a financially regulated environment.
• Experience working with clients or in a client servicing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Industry experience of three or more years.
• AWS experience of at least 1 year.
• Experience in a DevOps role of at least 1 year.
• Experience operating a production platform of at least 1 year.
• Experience with Kubernetes of at least 1 year.
