DevOps Engineer, Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and manage DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build images and orchestrate deployments in Kubernetes and Rancher.
• Manage tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux, including writing custom Helm charts.
• Automate server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing activities.
• Support the development and support of custom applications in a production environment.
• Evaluate and mitigate container security vulnerabilities.
• Support strategy and design discussions related to containerization and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and supporting DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience with containerization, building images, and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes and Rancher.
• 2+ years of experience managing tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux, including writing custom Helm charts, and with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD.
• Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of container security technologies and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing in Java or Python.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana or ElasticSearch, Kibana, and FluentD.
• Experience with the design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure.
• Experience using or migrating CI/CD pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity.
• Experience with system integration using protocols such as JSON, REST, and XML.
• Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby, and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
• Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies, including Docker, Azure, AWS, or VMware.
• Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation.
• Knowledge of foundational system administration principles.
• Kubernetes Certification.
