About the Role

As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks-ultimately, how to "harness the cloud." We're looking for an experienced DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions. As a DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You'll apply your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients' meaningful missions.

Key Responsibilities

Support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructures and meeting their missions.
Work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for cloud solutions.
Establish or provision virtual machines or networks using cloud service providers.
Apply DevOps frameworks to automate and manage infrastructure tasks.
Collaborate with team members through pull request reviews, planning activities, and retrospectives.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Packer, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Experience with Linux infrastructures and databases, including SQL.
Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, PHP, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
Experience with Agile workflow methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with continuous monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, AlertManager, PagerDuty, Datadog, or Splunk.
Experience working in a collaborative environment with other engineers, participating in pull request reviews, planning activities, and retrospectives.
Knowledge of developing, managing, and securing containers.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
HS diploma or GED.

Nice to Have

Experience with the VA.
Experience working with Docker containers and Kubernetes platforms.
Experience with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), including AWS and its associated services and tools.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Experience supporting a 24x7 mission-critical system.
Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED (minimum).
Additional preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree and relevant experience with cloud and container technologies.

Total compensation includes a projected salary range of $99,000 to $225,000 annually.
