About the Role

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you will use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions. You will work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability, making a mission-forward impact while furthering your skillset and career. The role involves identifying potential risks, contributing to solution development, and creating efficient and effective systems for clients in a collaborative, flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

Use architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to deliver solutions.
Work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites.
Ensure systems have consistent performance and scalability.
Identify potential risks and contribute to solution development.
Develop and troubleshoot infrastructure and automation scripts.

Requirements

6+ years of experience with Software Engineering or DevOps.
Experience writing scripts using Bash and Python.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation tools, including Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible.
Experience with troubleshooting large UNIX Clusters and UNIX command line.
Experience using system monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
Experience with container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
Knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience developing test plans.
Experience researching, evaluating, and deploying technologies in a Kubernetes environment.
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA or Confluence.
Experience using Git for version control.
Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
