About the Role

We are recruiting for an incredible, paid digital advertising & marketing agency in San Diego that focuses on providing Amazon ad strategies for brands selling on the Amazon marketplace. The role involves managing Amazon search campaigns, analyzing performance data, developing strategies, and collaborating with enterprise clients. This is a five day/week onsite position in their San Diego office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Amazon search campaigns for clients of varying sizes using company and department practices and procedures.
  • Strategize and determine courses of action, assess and resolve a wide range of issues, and provide counsel and advice as required.
  • Provide detailed analysis, comprehensive interpretations, and create actionable plans based on campaign performance data from Amazon Ad Console and other retail media platforms.
  • Partner with enterprise clients and manage escalations by conducting comprehensive, cross-functional analysis.
  • Lead high-importance enterprise client meetings by delivering stakeholder-tailored presentations that drive impact and prepare internal teams for success.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits involving complex data to identify and capitalize on client growth opportunities, discussing anomalies, causes, and solutions.
  • Develop and implement detailed PPC strategies for assigned clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, define KPIs of success, and proactively communicate challenges.
  • Engage in weekly department scrums and training sessions to deepen knowledge within the channel.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance campaign performance and business impact, aligning strategies with client goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to inform campaign strategies.
  • Maintain frequent and excellent communication internally and externally with clients.
  • Leverage AI tools and delegation resources to improve workflow and campaign outcomes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve operational performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing new department training materials and designing new toolsets and templates.
  • Serve as an SME or content owner for department functions, providing guidance and training.
  • Mentor and guide Advertising Strategists, sharing expertise and fostering their development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight or more (8+) years of related advertising experience, with specific expertise in Amazon PPC management or related roles.
  • At least 4+ years of experience with Amazon e-commerce, preferably familiarity with Seller Central and Vendor Central platforms.
  • Demonstrates excellent understanding of department practices, procedures, and specialized functions.
  • Advanced experience with Amazon retail search advertising, Google paid search advertising, or similar platforms.
  • Expert knowledge managing campaigns in Amazon Ad Console, Amazon 3rd Party Advertising Platforms, Walmart Connect.
  • Advanced project management skills with a track record of leading successful initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to mentor and train team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
