Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures customer and stakeholder value is delivered by the product team
  • Proactively plans and manages cross-functional team communications and keeps the product team apprised of key decisions
  • Collaborates with clients to develop new feature business cases
  • Identifies key questions to help and solve critical problems throughout an engagement and ensures the final product meets the business need, delivers maximum value, and delights users
  • Facilitates trade-off decisions by balancing business needs, customer experience, and technical feasibility
  • Manages and prioritizes product backlog by working with stakeholders for maximum efficiency
  • Enables continuous communication and manages customer and stakeholder feedback by synthesizing and integrating it into the product roadmap
  • Evangelizes and upholds agile practices and methodologies
  • Establishes and is responsible for ensuring correct user story definition and acceptance criteria for the product backlog
  • Supports the team by working towards removing obstacles and distractions
  • Builds, manages, and fosters teams of 4-20 people throughout the entire delivery lifecycle
  • Communicates and articulates status with senior executive leadership
  • Helps establish product vision and ensures adherence continuously from cross-functional teams
  • Participates in release planning and contributes to PI planning

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of product management and delivery experience, with industry specialization in Utilities
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with proven ability to create, manage, and deliver a successful Product Roadmap
  • Minimum of 4 years client-facing responsibility or accountability for product delivery
  • Strong analytical and strategic decision-making skills
  • Ability to describe and articulate roles within a product team and responsibilities within a full-scale product team
  • Experience in a product delivery model from inception to execution
  • Strong analytical, data-driven mindset focused on end-user needs
  • Ability to partner with clients to set goals and measures of success for product teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Rally, Version One, Invision, Zeplin
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, Lean, Kanban
  • Certifications in Agile (POPM, APM, CSPO) are a bonus

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years)
  • Extensive knowledge of a product delivery model from inception to execution
  • Ability to manage conflict within an organization regarding planning and prioritization

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of product management and delivery experience in Utilities
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing and delivering product roadmaps
  • Minimum 4 years of client-facing responsibility for product delivery
