About the Role

The Director of NBC Partner Marketing is responsible for aligning with Content Distribution Marketing (CDM) to curate and generate network promotion on partner platforms, servicing their marketing and content needs, and collaborating to launch and sustain viewership of NBC programming through curated content, activations, and giveaways. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to maximize show awareness, create strategic activations, and build long-term relationships, all within NBCUniversal's diverse media and entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align with CDM and proactively identify opportunities on partner platforms to optimize and expand network campaigns to increase and retain NBC viewership; collaborate, design and execute plans for those opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue timely opportunities that tie NBC programming or consumer activations to partner priorities; collaborate closely with internal Brand Strategy, PR and Social teams to leverage synergies between partners and the network to maximize show awareness and tune-in while creating network value to our partners; provide recap analysis on partner tie-ins.
  • Identify positive/negative trends in the market to inform marketing strategy by program and identify growth opportunities and actionable insights; produce graphic representation of findings.
  • Act as primary contact for internal Entertainment Brand and PR teams to generate opportunities that garner press for network show talent and create interview opportunities for our partners and their content creator partners (e.g., press junkets, red carpet specials).
  • Manage and empower a two-person team responsible for helping CDM and partners secure marketing assets (short/long form content, custom talent liners, digital and social assets) and information to promote NBC primetime programming; interface with VP Affiliate & Partner Marketing on daily operations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with business partners (e.g., CDM, NBC and Peacock Brand teams, Xfinity) through regular communication and timely follow-up.
  • Prepare and participate in meetings, providing network updates and follow-ups to CDM and external partners; oversee NBC Partner Marketing's participation in events and conferences; act as partner representative on internal show team calls and meetings.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of partner relationships and their priorities aligned with network viewership goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working at a broadcast or cable network or streamer.
  • Minimum seven years' industry experience preferred with a successful record as a senior marketing professional.
  • Understanding of MVPDs, dMVPDs, connected devices, the linear broadcast model, and evolving/emerging streaming services.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Conversant with Social Media platforms.

  • This position is hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
