About the Role

The Director of Marketing (Ostomy Care) is responsible for driving and supporting revenue growth, pricing and profitability for the Ostomy Care portfolio in the US. This role involves oversight of upstream and downstream product and program marketing, leading the Ostomy Care Marketing team in strategic development and execution of business initiatives. The Director reports to the VP of Marketing, works closely with stakeholders across US and Global organizations, and plays a key role in implementing marketing plans, developing programs, and managing projects to grow the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate the Ostomy Care marketing strategy across all channels by capturing and mining market insight and translating it into actionable, differentiated positions and initiatives for the US portfolio.
  • Identify growth opportunities and create and implement marketing programs and market development initiatives targeted at key customers, ensuring strong partnership with sales teams.
  • Champion product and program commercialization activities across various business functions including Executive Management, Global Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Sales, Consumer Services, Supply Chain, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and R&D.
  • Provide market assessments, insights on US consumer and clinician needs, unit forecasts, and sales expectations to Global Marketing to inform upstream product development and future launches.
  • Oversee full portfolio management for US Ostomy products, including portfolio analysis, pricing strategy, SKU rationalization, and maintaining profitability.
  • Lead the development and execution of new product launches to promote growth and financial profitability.
  • Manage competitive strategies related to portfolio differentiation, positioning, pricing, and market share growth.
  • Contribute to field execution through ownership of Sales Training initiatives and ongoing support tied to product, service, and evidence-focused initiatives.
  • Lead KOL and HCP-focused initiatives, including Advisory Boards and Clinical Specialist teams, ensuring alignment between clinical evidence and commercial efforts.
  • Lead the Ostomy Care Marketing team to achieve key business objectives, fostering engagement, urgency, and accountability.
  • Manage the discretionary Ostomy Marketing budget to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all programs align with Coloplast's strategy, business objectives, and corporate brand.
  • Provide monthly updates on business performance and strategic priorities to US Leadership.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing, MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret market data, financial statements, and sales/profitability data.
  • Ability to translate market and financial data into actionable plans and results.
  • Visionary leadership to support future business growth and support others in visualizing and achieving the business potential.
  • Experience in developing channel programs, promoting healthcare products/services nationally/internationally, and executing strategic plans.
  • Knowledge of competitor differentiation, strategic initiatives, pricing, and market share strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically (20-40%).
