Director of SEO

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SEO team of 3+ members, including onboarding, training, and regular 1x1s.
• Guide the agency's SEO service offering, defining and managing team processes and deliverables.
• Create and manage SEO team roadmap, templates, and process documentation.
• Ensure the team is trained to execute deliverables and manage hours per deliverable.
• Manage team P&L and review team Harvest time to ensure accurate billing and time tracking.
• Represent the SEO team during sales calls, provide recommendations for new client engagements.
• Manage team adoption of new tools such as Jira and ensure process adherence.
• Relaying SEO industry updates to the broader team during internal meetings.
• Support sales through audits, presentations, and project scoping.

Requirements

• Act as the SEO expert for the agency, staying current with industry updates, trends, and best practices.
• Create and manage SEO team processes, templates, and deliverables.
• Experience in team leadership, process documentation, and training.
• Ability to onboard and guide team adoption of new tools like Jira.
• Experience managing team P&L and tracking billable hours.
• Strong communication skills for team management and client interactions.

• Experience acting as an SEO expert and leading SEO teams.
• Proficiency with industry tools and staying updated on SEO trends.
• Experience in process creation, documentation, and team training.
• Ability to manage team P&L and time tracking systems.
