Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, priorities and success criteria for the Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborate closely with business sponsors and collaborators to determine the suitability and value proposition of the Salesforce platform for planned business initiatives.
  • Manage a team of Salesforce business analysts, engineers and architects that are embedded / work within product teams.
  • Manage a team of release engineers that deploy the releases to the production environments.
  • Influence product prioritization working with Product Owners on their initiatives impacting the platform.
  • Maintain strategic and technical roadmap for the platform including transformation initiatives and alignment with enterprise vision.
  • Assess and determine the impact of new Salesforce features released three times a year on current products.
  • Assist business groups on solution requirements and understanding current and future state impacts on the platform and business functions.
  • Work collaboratively with product owners to drive goals for successful sprints and rollouts.
  • Promote continuous improvement through automation, Gen AI, Einstein AI, Github Co Pilot, etc.
  • Lead Gen AI or new Salesforce AI capabilities to test and learn using POCs in partnership with product teams/leaders.
  • Build, own, and implement standardized and repeatable processes and platform standards.
  • Establish and own release plans, windows, and goals, and coordinate deployment releases.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience, or
  • Master's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience.
  • At least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, or programs.
  • Ability to define and communicate platform vision and strategy.
  • Experience with assessing new Salesforce features and their impact on products.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with automation, AI, and DevOps practices is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to ‘sell' the product internally and get an audience excited about technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying platform vision to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with public speaking and large audiences.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
  • Expertise delivering on the Salesforce platform across multiple clouds.
  • Broad operating range from strategic planning to tactical details.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS company in product, engineering, project management, or services roles.
  • Strong organizational skills and high-level business discussion experience.
  • Self-starter, broad thinker, strategic planner, and analytical.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree or Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with corresponding years of experience.
  • Experience managing teams, projects, or programs.
