Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in shaping the future of HPE globally and how customers are empowered with the right tools to manage their purchases and projects, as part of the eCommerce, Experience, Change, and Launch team.
  • Responsible for the quality of HPE's eCommerce platform UI from end-to-end.
  • Work in a small, multi-disciplinary team to create user experiences from ideation to production, including product vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, collaborating across functions, and overseeing implementation.
  • Be involved in every aspect of the eCommerce development cycle, from brainstorming the next innovation to validating the existing assumptions.
  • Identify and prioritize the most important product questions in collaboration with eCommerce Operations, Platform and Capabilities teams, and HPE business units.
  • Design, test, troubleshoot, and ensure UI quality across multiple websites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand detailed requirements.
  • Employ industry and UX/UI design best practices.
  • Optimize sites for ease of use and ensure responsiveness across various device types.
  • Provide support throughout the build and launch process of website applications.
  • Design and conduct user research, communicate insights, UX/UI proposals, and product ideas.
  • Provide requirements for User Behavior Analytics dashboards to understand user behavior, prioritize improvements, and validate experience changes.
  • Understand the end user and provide an informed perspective on user experience, fidelity levels, behavioral monitoring, and research needs.
  • Advocate customer needs through storytelling, including content writing, visual, and verbal communication.
  • Deliver artifacts such as user flows, experience maps, customer journey maps, personas, competitive analysis, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Iterate through the UI design process, creating sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Use and improve existing design systems and standards.

Requirements

  • Customer obsession and passion for creating simple and delightful experiences.
  • High focus and passion for UI design detail consistency.
  • Outstanding UX/UI ability, including interaction design, visual design, and product thinking.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce UX/UI best practices.
  • Figma expertise in developing UI designs, creating prototypes, applying design system standards, and managing design portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of how to use User Behavior Analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Proactive collaboration and self-management skills, comfortable working in a small, agile team.
  • Ability to work with interdepartmental teams to achieve results.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional agile environment and iterate through the design process.
  • Strong communication, presentation, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management and follow-up skills.
  • 4+ years of UX/UI experience.
  • 2+ years of eCommerce experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills and processes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with B2B ecommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with the HPE Design System.
  • Experience applying WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Prior experience with User Behavioral Analytics tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of additional design, prototyping, and research tools (e.g., InVision, UserTesting.com, Hotjar).
  • Experience conducting user research from discovery to evaluation, usability testing, and metrics analysis.
  • Ability to support B2B/eCommerce projects end-to-end, from stakeholder interviews to high-fidelity designs and success measurement.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of UX/UI experience.
  • 2+ years of eCommerce experience.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating UX/UI design skills and processes.
