About the Role

The Embedded Software Engineer will work on developing advanced cybersecurity and encryption products, collaborating with a cross-functional team to create mission-critical NSA-certified cybersecurity devices. The role involves working with custom hardware, high-speed data, and cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies within a fast-growing product line at General Dynamics Mission Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Make the world's most advanced cybersecurity and encryption products even smarter.
Work with custom hardware built in-house for the cybersecurity group.
Develop mission-critical NSA-certified cybersecurity devices in a rapidly growing product line.
Contribute to projects involving high-speed data and cybersecurity at the cutting edge of technology.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of job-related experience.
Agile experience preferred.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance at the time of hire.
Experience with real-time multi-threaded embedded software, preferably on Linux OS.
Experience with object-oriented design and programming, preferably in UML and C++.
Ability to define scope, schedule, and expectations for work executed.
Proficiency with software tools supporting IDEs, version control, defect tracking, and scripting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree.
2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
