Embedded Software Engineer - Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and hand-code embedded C/C++ software for real-time operating systems, including MCAL and Low Level Driver development.
• Configure Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software modules such as OS, IOHWAB, FEE, and WDG.
• Interpret hardware schematics and work with multicore microprocessors.
• Implement and verify software in accordance with Functional Safety concepts like ISO 26262.
• Utilize compilers, emulators, Lauterbach debuggers, and automation scripting tools.
• Conduct software verification and validation, including white box, black box, and gray box testing.
• Ensure code quality standards compliance, such as MISRA-C.
• Use data acquisition tools like ETAS, INCA, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
• Work with NXP Cobra-55 and Aurix TC family of automotive microprocessors.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering degree from an ABET accredited University.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with embedded C/C++ software in a Real Time Operating System, MCAL, and Low Level Driver development.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration of core foundation modules like OS, IOHWAB, FEE, WDG.
• Experience with multicore microprocessors and interpreting hardware schematics.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts (ISO 26262).
• Experience with compilers, emulators, debuggers (Lauterbach), and automation scripting.
• Experience in software verification/validation including white box, black box, and gray box testing.
• Familiarity with automotive software code quality standards like MISRA-C.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment with minimal impact on productivity.
• Experience using data acquisition tools like ETAS, INCA, CANoe, CANalyzer.
• Experience with NXP Cobra-55 and Aurix TC family of microprocessors.
• Focus on low-level/MCAL driver development such as PLC, SPI, HBridge, and HSD/LSDs.
• Very good understanding of real-time embedded systems.
• Experience working with Infineon Microcontroller family: TC3XX.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automotive microprocessors like NXP Cobra-55 and Aurix TC family.
• Experience with multicore microprocessors and interpreting hardware schematics.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts (ISO 26262).
