Job Description

About the Role

The Engineer role is based in New York, NY, requiring 10 to 15 years of experience. The position involves supporting and maintaining VoIP-based tradefloor systems, troubleshooting issues, analyzing logs, and managing major incidents related to SIP & VOIP technologies. The candidate will work within a technical environment that includes VoIP platforms, voice gateways, and related networking and recording systems.

Key Responsibilities

Support and Maintenance of VoIP based turrets on tradefloor
Troubleshooting issues
Analysing Wireshark/product logs
Provide Migration / change support
Triage major incidents
Drive major incident calls

Requirements

Must possess a strong understanding of SIP & VOIP
Should have extremely good troubleshooting/analytical skills
Must be well versed in BT Trade product suite including Verba Voice recording
Must have at least TWO of the following technical expertise: VoIP platform experience (CISCO/Avaya/Asterisk/Alcatel etc), Session border controller (SBC), Microsoft Teams / Azure, Voice gateways (VEGA, etc), Voice Recording experience, E1/T1 technologies and Analogue
CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification
Must have excellent written and spoken English
Education: Bachelor of Technology
