Engineer II - Ground Software- DevOps

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full software life cycle functions including requirements, architecture, design, coding, testing, integration, documentation, and support.
• Utilize agile product development approaches such as scrum, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external customers in a team environment.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, business units, and the company to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field plus 2 or more years of related experience.
• Experience delivering high-reliability software in an agile, team-based environment with DevSecOps CI/CD (Gitlab CI/CD), preferably Git.
• Experience in containerization (Docker/Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, helm, OpenShift).
• Development experience with at least one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript (preferably two).
• A current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Related technical experience or higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Degree must be from an accredited university, college, or school.

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional technologies such as PostgreSQL databases, Scrum, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), microservice/event-driven architectures, message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, MQTT, ActiveMQ), network programming (TCP/IP, gRPC), message serialization techniques (Protocol Buffers), and space ground control systems.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI.
