About the Role

The role is for a Software Engineer at S&P Global Ratings, located in New York with a hybrid work arrangement. The team is responsible for building external customer-facing websites using emerging tools and technologies, working in a significant environment that encourages creative solutions to complex problems for the Commercial team. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of strategic initiatives and business-as-usual activities in a timely manner working with various stakeholders.
  • Set priorities among competing goals and objectives and coordinate simultaneous workflows to ensure efficient contribution to S&P objectives.
  • Promote an organization focused on outstanding customer service, high performance, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities are well defined with clearly identified goals, objectives, and processes.
  • Contribute to and support S&P enterprise architecture, strategic roadmaps, and transformation from current state to future state.
  • Develop agile practices with continuous development, continuous integration & deployments, and cloud enablement.
  • Collaborate with global technology development teams and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Strong development skills and learning agility.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and related technologies.
  • Experience with React, Spring Boot, and similar frameworks.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a global or cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and agile practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Professional experience with Java, React, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
