This position involves receiving and accurately processing cash receipts daily, posting all third party payors, private pays, and patient pays impacting all facilities. The role requires knowledge of hospital remittance advices to ensure proper posting of all payments and involves identifying and processing refunds on patient accounts to resolve balances. Additionally, the position includes completing reports such as credit balances, adjustments, and high-level exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes cash receipts daily, posting all insurance and patient payments, with knowledge of hospital remittance posting.
  • Identify and process refunds on patient accounts to resolve the balance to zero.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of patient accounting principles and/or cash posting.
  • Use of 10-key calculator and basic computer skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or banking preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hospital remittance advices.
  • Additional experience in accounting or related fields.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
