EverCommerce Payments - Senior Payments Performance Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analysis of payment funnel performance to identify drivers of attachment, activation, retention, and wallet share, delivering insights bi-weekly to inform action.
• Develop driver-based models and cohort diagnostics to isolate variables correlated with payment adoption and utilization.
• Investigate performance fluctuations and identify root causes of underperformance, drop-off, or high performance across platforms, segments, industries, and channels.
• Identify customer, product, or platform traits that contribute to payment growth and collaborate with GTM and Product teams to scale those traits through experiments or initiatives.
• Deliver concise, actionable insights and visual narratives to executive leadership and cross-functional teams to inform strategies.
• Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to evaluate embedded payment performance, identify friction points, and recommend enhancements.
• Support forecasting, planning, and business reviews using insights into historical behavior, leading indicators, and opportunity sizing.
• Partner with Data Analysts and Engineers to evolve reporting tools and ensure visibility for proactive insight generation.
• Validate critical data inputs and proactively flag anomalies or gaps that could impact decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 4+ years of experience as a data analyst in the payments industry with a proven track record of uncovering insights and influencing business outcomes.
• Experience with SaaS embedded payments, take rate, activation rate, and wallet share metrics; modeling experience is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying and analyzing large datasets; familiarity with modern data stacks is a plus.
• Expertise in BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau for building dashboards and visual insights.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives and strategies that drive growth, retention, and product optimization.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills for synthesizing data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with driver-based modeling, cohort or funnel analysis, and performance diagnostics across customer journeys.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, GTM, Strategy, and Finance teams to turn insights into action.
• (Preferred) Experience with A/B testing frameworks, pricing experiments, or behavioral analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in payments industry analytics.

• Target base compensation of $130,000 to $150,000 USD per year, with final offers based on location and experience.
