About the Role

The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program is seeking an Experienced UI/UX Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves updating, upgrading, and developing a modernized global military satellite communications ground system that manages WGS Payloads for all F1-F12 satellites. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive applications using Angular, React.js, HTML, CSS, Java for micro-services, and related technologies.
Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet industry, customer, safety, security, and certification standards.
Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities; integrate and deploy mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
Perform code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about the usage of software products.
Apply strong problem-solving skills to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend solutions, and ensure optimal performance.
Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code within the existing codebase, ensuring alignment with architecture and coding standards.
Work under general direction and collaborate with team members in a fully on-site environment in Colorado Springs.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance.
3+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
3+ years of experience with web-based development using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs.
Experience identifying security vulnerabilities within source code.

Nice to Have

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience with open-source software development.
3+ years of experience with web socket programming.
3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Java).
Experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience supporting Government security requirements for software delivery involving system accreditation.
Experience working in an Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or similar tools.

Qualifications

Educational background in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (preferred but not required).
