Frontend Software Engineer - Streamlit Open Source

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Open Source team to develop and enhance the Streamlit open-source project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and product management to drive product vision.
• Build scalable, high-performance web UI applications using React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
• Integrate frontend components with backend systems built in Python.
• Contribute to team planning and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product web UI application development.
• Deep Python knowledge, including experience in building backend systems and integrating frontend and backend components.
• Proficiency in React/Hooks, TypeScript, and Emotion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication and empathy skills for collaboration and mentorship.
• Passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends.
• Ability to build for scale and high performance.
• Familiarity or interest with data science, AI, and machine learning is a plus.
