Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of marketing websites to ensure they are performant, responsive, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to translate business requirements and design mockups into pixel-perfect, functional web pages.
  • Utilize expertise with headless CMS, like Contentful, to build and manage dynamic content structures, enabling efficient content updates and publishing.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Astro and React, leveraging their capabilities for speed and developer experience.
  • Implement SEO best practices and ensure website performance aligns with Core Web Vitals standards.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining frontend architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Stay current with the latest frontend technologies and trends, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer, with a focus on building marketing websites for SaaS or DBaaS companies.
  • Proven expertise in developing performant and scalable websites using Astro or high competency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience utilizing Figma's Developer Mode for inspecting designs, extracting assets, and collaborating with design teams.
  • Extensive experience working with headless CMS platforms, specifically Contentful, including content modeling, API integration, and content delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), collaborative workflows, and familiarity with mono repos.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A portfolio showcasing marketing website development work for SaaS companies is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and data privacy standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Strong understanding of media queries for diverse use cases beyond just screen size.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with serverless functions and edge computing.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and design systems.
  • Experience with static site generators beyond Astro.
  • Experience with Algolia search integration.
  • Experience with Auth0 integration and SSO for cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in developing Next.js micro-sites for logged-in customer experiences.
  • Familiarity with client-side cookie and session handling, especially for bypassing marketing forms like Marketo.
  • Understanding of Netlify's architecture, including implementing SSR for enhanced site functionality.
  • Ability to think outside the Bootstrap grid model when designing layouts.
