Frontend Software Engineer - Travel Things (Hybrid)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build future-forward applications with a modern tech stack at its core, including JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, styled-components, and GraphQL.
• Ensure code reliability through rigorous testing using Jest and React Testing Library, among others.
• Work with a distributed, scalable micro-services environment, deploying software daily with high quality, clean code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
• Be part of a high performing cross functional team of 7-10 developers, POs, UXers, QAs, data scientists, etc., sharing the same values and focus on the customer.
• Develop powerful and advanced algorithms at the forefront of travel tech innovation.
• Leverage your technical excellence mindset to code solutions with high quality, good design, attention to detail, and test quality.
• Actively participate in product definition and ideation processes.
• Work in a fully agile organization, using Kanban practices to deliver business value continuously.
• Continuously learn and participate in workshops, hackathons, and other events to stay active within the IT community.
• Own and monitor the performance of product and technical OKRs.

Requirements

• A strong command of JavaScript and modern web development features, with at least 3+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development, especially building scalable applications.
• Solid understanding of the ReactJS framework with demonstrable hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of TypeScript is considered a valuable asset.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as data structures, concurrency, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Ability to code with high quality through good design, attention to detail, and test quality.
• Knowledge of Cloud environments and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Strong data-driven capabilities and design pattern skills.
• Fluent English level with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good team player with good communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Applied AI Tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.
• Experimentation mindset and curiosity to explore and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for debugging, streamlining development, and enhancing productivity.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adapting to new AI features.
• Experience or interest in collaborating with AI tools as 'pair programmers'.
