About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Single Family Architecture to define technical solutions to complex business issues that align with target state architecture and conform with corporate best practices.
• Provide technical assistance to the project team and co-lead design and code reviews.
• Engage with business to discuss issues and document or explain technical solutions in a simplified meaningful way.
• Work as part of a high performing agile team, help others comply with application standards, and participate in design and code reviews to ensure standards and acceptance criteria are met.
• Ensure code is tested, with thorough junits prior to delivery.
• Understand business requirements, participate in requirements analysis, design applications based on system requirements and architecture, and develop, unit test, and deploy application enhancements.
• Build microservices-based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, Docker, OpenShift, and AWS platform.
• Support test automation and regression suites to ensure application quality.
• Develop data layer components using frameworks like Hibernate and JPA, and create backend frameworks as needed.
• Build and support automation suites, and contribute to scalable API solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
• At least 1 year of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organizations.
• 3 years of experience developing applications and web services using Java EE, Angular, and XML.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot), CI/CD frameworks, Apigee, Autosys/Shell scripting.
• Proficiency with Java presentation frameworks such as STRUTS or Angular.
• Experience with Web Services / REST and EJB, preferably on Kubernetes.
• Strong backend experience with Hibernate, JPA, and relational/no-SQL databases like DB2 and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and RXJS for reactive programming.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Ability to independently perform all developer duties from analysis to deployment and post-production defect fixing.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of XML and creation of XML test data.

Nice to Have

• Experience in creating backend frameworks.
• Experience with Autosys/Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes deployment and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
