About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the gaming industry, is seeking a Gameplay Software Engineer II to join their team. As a Gameplay Software Engineer II, you will be part of the development team supporting innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for game development, which will align successfully in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create sample TypeScript code to demonstrate NPC behaviors in Horizon Worlds.
  • Develop both simple and complex examples that can be utilized for creator samples and AI training.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality code and effective project delivery.
  • Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from requirements definition to product release.
  • Write clean, encapsulated, testable, and well-documented code.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of game development experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with version control and build systems is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with version control and build systems.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of game development experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
