About the Role

Gray Media, or Gray, is a multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, formally known as Gray Television, Inc. WIBW is a CBS affiliate located in Topeka, Kansas, with a long tradition of excellence, high news ratings, and a strong market presence. The internship offers an immersive, hands-on experience in broadcast media, allowing interns to serve as valued team members across various departments and potentially transition into full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a valued team member in one of the station's departments such as Marketing, Sales, Creative Services, Sports, Weather, News Production, News MMJ, or Engineering.
Gain hands-on experience in broadcast media operations and contribute to station projects and daily tasks.
Learn from seasoned professionals and develop skills relevant to the media industry.
Participate actively in station activities and support the team in achieving station goals.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably in Junior or Senior year.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Earning a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields.
Interest in gaining hands-on experience in the local media industry.

Nice to Have

Experience or interest in broadcast media, journalism, or related fields.
Previous internship or work experience in media or communications.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college or university program, preferably at the junior or senior level.
Interest in media, journalism, communications, sales, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
