Group Director, Product Management (Upstream Marketing) - Diagnostic Solutions

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the product management team, fostering growth and high performance.
• Develop and execute end-to-end product lifecycle marketing strategies to drive growth and maintain profitability.
• Own the creation and management of product roadmaps in collaboration with R&D, Program management, and relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of products, from business case and launch through sustainability and obsolescence.
• Identify opportunities for product enhancements and new product development.
• Ensure successful go-to-market strategies for product launches.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Global Portfolio Strategy, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support to drive product success and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Commercial marketing teams to design campaigns, messaging, and branding for products.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development, marketing strategies, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and communicate updates and impact assessments across internal teams.
• Measure the success of marketing initiatives and product performance using KPIs such as market share, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, product management, or a related field; MBA often preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership or director-level roles.
• Diagnostics experience highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive analysis.
• Deep knowledge of product development processes and lifecycle management.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with ability to mentor and coach.
• Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including trends, challenges, and regulations relevant to medical devices and diagnostics.
• Customer-centric mindset with proactive, collaborative, adaptable, and ethical behaviors.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including attending in-house, corporate, and field-based meetings.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the medical or diagnostics field.
• Familiarity with lab or radiology environments.
• Experience with global portfolio strategy and marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

• Educational background with a bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
• Extensive experience in product management and marketing, especially in diagnostics or healthcare sectors.
• Leadership experience at the director level or higher.

Benefits & Perks

• Annualized base salary range of $150,000 - $268,000.
• Bonus eligibility.
