About the Role

The Health Data Scientist at Northwell Health participates in providing methodological, statistical, and manuscript development technical assistance to investigators in medical and surgical departments. The position may involve independent work on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provides methodological and statistical technical assistance to investigators on assigned research studies.
Assists investigators with application process.
Assists investigators with manuscript development.
Assists end-user community with report requests and data analysis.
Prepares reports for management and medical research projects and submits to management for review.
Utilizes statistical software programs for data management and statistical analysis.
Analyzes data and creates reports using statistical tools.
Develops executive summaries.
Operates under general guidance with varied work assignments requiring interpretation and independent decisions.
Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical programming.
