About the Role

Seeking highly motivated, and creative Software Developers/Systems Integrators/Software Engineers/Full Stack Engineers to advance manufacturing technology at Lockheed Martin by building Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) gateway solutions for all Lockheed Martin factories. The role offers exposure to edge compute, infrastructure, network, security, application automation, data, and analytics. The team operates in an agile environment, working with industry experts to build an Intelligent Factory future. The position involves development of IT solutions across all components of the stack through design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and support, with a preference for agile development practices and DevSecOps stacks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop IT solutions across all components of the technology stack through design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and support.
Work within an agile team environment to deliver high-quality software and system integration solutions.
Collaborate with industry experts and team members to build and enhance IIoT gateway solutions for manufacturing environments.
Utilize knowledge of system integration, programming in Java or Python, and scripting to support project goals.
Participate in continuous improvement of development practices and contribute to a high-performance team culture.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance (Secret level).
Growth mindset with an interest in emerging technologies.
Knowledgeable of system integration concepts.
Proficient in writing simple programs in Java or Python (less than 500 lines of code).
Proficient with Shell Scripting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with customers.
Experience with message queues like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
Knowledge of API design, data formats like JSON, XML, or Avro.
Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and scripting.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with industrial automation in manufacturing.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, Grafana, Tableau, and other analytics platforms.
Knowledge of Cisco SD-Access (DNAC, ISE).
Experience with Maven, Eclipse, static code analysis, Visio or Cameo.
Knowledge of AWS development and operations.
Experience with queuing services, server virtualization, application hosting/containerization, Kubernetes (Rancher, OpenShift, Tanzu).
Knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, database CRUD operations, UI/UX development.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Industrial automation experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Experience in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining APIs, web, and console applications.
Experience with database operations and UI/UX development.
Knowledge of application hosting/containerization and Kubernetes.
