About the Role

Join the Shortcuts team at Apple as an iOS Software Engineer focused on Shortcuts Actions. Contribute to a product that enhances human-computer interaction by creating innovative features that help users personalize and automate their devices across Apple's platforms. Work with cross-functional teams to ship code that powers critical products used by millions, improving digital productivity and user experience while aligning with new operating system and hardware features.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance the capabilities of the Shortcuts app by collaborating with first-party app teams and third-party developers to introduce new actions.
Develop robust, scalable solutions to technical challenges related to system features and user experience.
Work across teams and organizations to build relationships and craft compelling system features.
Guide existing products by anticipating issues and leading the development of essential technologies in early stages.
Develop new features, maintain existing code, fix bugs, and contribute to overall system design.

Requirements

B.S in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building software and applications in Objective-C or Swift.
Familiarity with essential tools such as Xcode, lldb, and Instruments.
Skilled at communicating, whether verbally or in writing.

Nice to Have

Experience creating complex and performant user interfaces with UIKit, AppKit, or SwiftUI.
Attention to detail and focus on quality.

Qualifications

Formal educational background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
