About the Role

The IT Project Manager will plan, lead and oversee project activities to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints delivering business value as outlined. This position is responsible for stakeholder management including all project status communications. This position will also work with the project management group to continuously improve the project management discipline across the IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager for multiple, significant IT projects including but not limited to SAP ERP Implementations, application development and IT Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for planning, execution and management of all phases of a project through to closure.
  • Establish work plan and staffing (internal and external) for project activities, iterations or phases, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule and defined budget.
  • Define and implement project communication plan with appropriate project update reporting, acting as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope, budget, issues and risks within, and across multiple projects.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate business case creation, and monitor/report on progress to ensure alignment, and delivery on desired business objectives.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to IT team members, as necessary, to enhance organizational project management competencies.
  • Proactively assess and provide recommendations for improvement in project management tools and processes to drive project management maturity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a related discipline preferred, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in leading, organizing, planning, and executing large-scale enterprise projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, active listening skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of success in a global team environment.
  • Advanced problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate teams and ensure timely, on-budget delivery of project goals.
  • Broad understanding of the IT landscape, including network infrastructure, data center operations, and business application development and support.
  • Deep understanding of business requirements, with the ability to build and maintain customer trust and confidence.
  • Solid expertise in organizational change management.
