About the Role

The Senior Software Developer position involves interpreting written requirements and technical specifications to develop and maintain software solutions for business problems. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, and collaborating with teams to ensure quality and efficiency. The position is based in California, CA, with a preference for candidates to be local to Austin, TX, and is 100% on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret written requirements and technical specifications for software solutions to address business problems.
Develop software based on technical specifications.
Analyze and investigate reported problems with software solutions and document the results.
Perform maintenance of software and correct defects identified during the maintenance process.
Run unit tests on created software, implement test plans, test harnesses, and document test results.
Investigate and suggest solutions to defects and problems detected during testing.
Support all development phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

8+ years of professional experience in software development.
Ability to support all phases of the SDLC.
Experience with front-end technologies such as ASP.NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/Async services.
Experience with back-end technologies including .NET, .NET Core, C#, and RESTful API design.
Knowledge of Micro-Services and Event-driven architecture frameworks.
Experience with Web API and RESTful services.
Experience with all aspects of testing including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with Atlassian tool suite such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo (strongly preferred).
Comfortable with CI/CD concepts, unit testing principles, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
Experience working in distributed monolithic and cloud-based micro-services environments, preferably with Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

Nice to Have

Experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts.
Experience with API test automation techniques and automated deployment pipeline tools.
