About the Role

Infosys is seeking a Java Backend Lead Developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The role involves assisting in the technical design of large business systems, building applications, interfacing between applications, and understanding data security, retention, and recovery. The candidate should contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards, and ensure success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
Build applications and interfaces between applications.
Understand data security, retention, and recovery processes.
Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
Contribute expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, and operating systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Experience in software application development using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Microservices messaging technologies (AWS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Ability to integrate with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, NgRx-platform.
Experience in creating and using RESTful web services using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience working with databases like Postgres and MySQL.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Bellevue, WA or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
U.S. citizenship is required to fill this role.

Nice to Have

Experience of working with automation testing frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver/TestNG, Maven, Junit, Mockito.
Knowledge of CICD with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience with logging frameworks such as Splunk, Prometheus.
Experience with Non-Functional requirements like User Authentication, IAM, Performance, Application security.
Experience in project lifecycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
At least 2 years of experience in design reviews for Java and Spring Boot-based projects.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environments.
Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
