About the Role

The role is for a Java Developer with expertise in AWS Microservices, based in Columbus, Ohio. The position involves building and deploying scalable microservices on AWS, developing RESTful APIs, and integrating various AWS services to support cloud infrastructure and application needs.

Key Responsibilities

Build and deploy scalable microservices on AWS
Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
Integrate AWS services (S3, SQS, RDS, etc.)
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost
Write unit/integration tests using JUnit, Mockito
Work with DevOps for CI/CD and monitoring

Requirements

Proficiency in Java, Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
Experience with Microservices Architecture
Knowledge of Service orchestration and inter-service communication (REST, gRPC, messaging)
Experience with AWS Services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline
Experience with Messaging/Streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS
Understanding of Security & Monitoring tools including OAuth2/JWT, AWS IAM, CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana
