About the Role

The Java Developer role is a contract position based in Charlotte, North Carolina, working within the banking sector. The position involves developing, modifying, and maintaining Java applications, working closely with business partners to define system requirements, and utilizing OpenShift container platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and maintain applications to accomplish business goals.
Design, code, test, debug, and document programs as well as support activities for maintaining the application.
Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Red Hat OpenShift container platform and Java backend development.
Prior experience with containerization of an application, building/reading helm charts, monitoring applications using tools like Grafana/Protheus.
Must be able to reengineer and rearchitect the existing application code, scale up containers/pods, and analyze system infrastructure requirements.
Experience with backend Java programming and core Java skills.
