About the Role

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Key Responsibilities

Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and scope of development.
Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
Contribute towards developing and adhering to best practices for scalable and relevant applications.

Requirements

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, UT or Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
Experience working in Application Development, support, maintenance and analysis in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, any RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase/DB2/SQL Server/Postgresql).
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
Proficiency in object-oriented design principles.
Experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring and Hibernate.
Familiarity with web development frameworks (Angular or React).
Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines especially using Git.
Hands-On Development and analysis skills.

Nice to Have

At least 2 years of experience in a development role.
At least 2 years of experience in Java & Database (Sybase ASE or SQL Server).
At least 2 years of experience in frontend technologies (ReactJS, Angular).
At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle.
At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
At least 1 year of experience in project scoping, estimation and scheduling.
At least 1 year of experience in Java Microservices development.
Knowledge of architectural frameworks and design principles.
Basic domain knowledge in Capital Markets and Finance.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
