About the Role

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements, and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify errors, and to make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for scalable, relevant, and critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
Work across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Gather accurate requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and scope of development.
Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
Contribute towards developing and adhering to best practices for application development.

Requirements

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, UT or Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
Experience working in Application Development, support, maintenance, and analysis in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, and any RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase/DB2/SQL Server/Postgresql).
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
Proficiency in object-oriented design principles.
Experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate.
Familiarity with web development frameworks (Angular or React).
Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Git.
Hands-On Development and analysis skills.

Nice to Have

At least 2 years of experience in a development role.
At least 2 years of experience in Java & Database (Sybase ASE or SQL Server).
At least 2 years of experience in frontend technologies (ReactJS, Angular).
At least 2 years of experience in the software development life cycle.
At least 2 years of experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
At least 1 year of experience in project scoping, estimation, and scheduling.
At least 1 year of experience in Java Microservices development.
Knowledge of architectural frameworks and design principles.
Basic domain knowledge in Capital Markets and Finance.
Analytical skills.
Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
Three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
