About the Role

We have an immediate project requirement for a Java Developer who has experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications, responsible for both front-end and back-end development. The role involves working with technologies such as Java, Angular, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, and various AWS services. The position is based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work arrangement, and the selected candidates will be on the direct payroll of PRIMUS Global Services.

Key Responsibilities

Designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications with both front-end and back-end components.
Developing and integrating REST and SOAP-based APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Working with Kafka and AWS technologies such as Lambda, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EC2, Data Pipeline, CloudWatch, CodeCommit, and CloudFormation.
Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems.
Participating in project planning and providing technical expertise on cloud development and Kafka administration.

Requirements

Experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications with Java and related frameworks.
Strong experience with front-end technologies like Angular.
Proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot ecosystem, including REST and SOAP APIs.
Experience working with Kafka and AWS cloud services such as Lambda, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EC2, Data Pipeline, CloudWatch, CodeCommit, and CloudFormation.
Prior experience with Kafka administration and AWS cloud development tools like Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB/Aurora, Redshift, and Node.js is a plus.
Reside in the Mid-Atlantic region (DC and Philadelphia) is preferred.
