About the Role

Red Arch Solutions is seeking a Cloud Consultant to join their Maryland team. The role involves guiding clients through their cloud adoption, migration, and optimization journeys on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, best practices, and architecture, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Guide clients through their cloud adoption, migration, and optimization journeys on AWS.
Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using AWS services.
Automate deployment of AWS-based architectures using DevOps practices, including automated testing and CI/CD.
Define and develop interfaces for various data sources using relational and non-relational database technologies.

Requirements

Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based applications using AWS services.
Experience with AWS managed services such as Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS.
Containerization and container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
Scripting and automation experience using Python.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK or Terraform.
Experience automating deployment of AWS architectures using DevOps practices.
At least 2 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with distributed applications.
At least 2 years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
At least 2 years of experience with documentation and written communication.
Within 6 months—AWS Solutions Architect—Associate certification.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Nice to Have

Full stack web development experience.
JavaScript/TypeScript experience.

Qualifications

2 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with distributed applications.
2 years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
2 years of experience with documentation and written communication.
AWS Solutions Architect—Associate certification (within 6 months).
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
