About the Role

At General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you'll be part of a team that makes a true impact by building cutting-edge mission-critical applications that help the end user accomplish their mission and keep people safe. The work involves developing highly efficient microservices on Linux using Java and Kotlin, supporting high-volume data-processing applications with modern Agile methodologies. GDIT operates across multiple technology domains including digital modernization, AI/ML, Cloud, Cyber, and application development, serving the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence communities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and support production user facing applications and backend software in support of mission objectives.
Provide ongoing development, maintenance, support, and software enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support for software systems and application issues.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization's capabilities.

Requirements

The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
No demonstrated experience is required.
Familiarity with Java.

Nice to Have

Experience with Java 21, Kotlin, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, DynamoDB, ReactJS, Spring Boot/Cloud/Data.
Knowledge of tools such as Maven, Node, GitLab, SonarQube, VSCode, IntelliJ.
