About the Role

The Launch Internship is an eleven-week paid internship program for students aspiring to be engineers and seeking an opportunity to learn about the finance industry. During the program, interns will collaborate with experienced engineers on impactful projects related to global capital markets, gaining industry immersion, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The program emphasizes learning and professional growth in a dynamic, technology-driven finance environment at Citadel Securities.

Key Responsibilities

Aid in creating technological tools that bring investing and trading strategies to life
Work on high-performance, large data research platforms
Collaborate in small teams to help build the future of finance
Be immersed in the industry and see how tech is applied in finance
Learn and grow personally and professionally through project work and curated development programming

Requirements

Currently a sophomore pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or STEM related field
Intermediate proficiency in at least one coding language
Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and highly technical team environment
Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems using technology
Candidates who can bring a diverse perspective through adaptability, cultural fluency, resilience, and life experiences are strongly encouraged to apply

Nice to Have

Experience with distributed computing, natural language processing, or machine learning (implied by the technical environment described)

Qualifications

Sophomore standing in a relevant STEM field
Proficiency in at least one coding language
