Lead Developer Java Microservices

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices using Java (Java 8/11/17+), Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Implement best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and clean code principles.
• Contribute to building high-performance backend systems that support mission-critical applications.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Highly skilled in Programming and Proficient in Java Programming with an in-depth understanding of Data structures and algorithms.
• Strong experience with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batches, Spring Cloud Streams, and RESTful API development.

Nice to Have

• Proven expertise in designing and deploying microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient in version control systems like Git and tools like Maven, Gradle.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (Preferred).
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Harness, etc.).
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
• Ability to adapt to modern technologies and learn new tools and applications.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
