Lead Devops Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the build and deployment of applications for large business systems.
• Create deployment scripts, configure build tools, and set up pipelines to support the CI/CD process.
• Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
• Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
• Provide expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc.
• Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in DevOps.
• Experience in Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible, XLR.
• Experience working on build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible, XLR.
• Experience in continuous integration tools and technology.
• Experience with version control tools like Perforce, Subversion, TFS.
• Experience on Linux commands, including viewing system processes, understanding users/groups/permissions, viewing files, and file transfer.
• Experience with code quality tools such as JUnit, SONAR.
• Experience with code review tools like Crucible, SmartBear.
• Excellent communication skills to work with global teams.
• Experience in banking and finance domain.
• Experience working in agile teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Perforce/Nexus, UrbanCode Platform (UBuild, UDeploy, URelease).
• Experience with Maven/Ant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or three years of progressive experience in the field.
