Lead Java Specialty Software Engineer-Transaction Processing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Mentor less experienced software engineers
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
• Develop and maintain trade processing, client allocations, trade reconciliation between clearing agencies, exchanges and our books & records systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of Lead Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Microservices, SQL and NoSQL
• 3+ years of experience in Capital Markets in transaction and trade processing
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies
• 5+ years of experience in messaging applications such as Apache Kafka, Solace or MQ
• 5+ years of experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, or Confluence

Nice to Have

• 4+ years of experience in Architecture and Design
• 2+ years working in OpenShift Container Platform
• Knowledge and experience in AI tools such as CoPilot
