Broadridge is hiring a Senior Java developer to collaborate with other developers, product managers, and QA to manage a high throughput GEMS integration platform. The role involves onboarding new clients, supporting existing clients in production, and implementing new system functionalities. We seek a well-rounded developer who works well in a team environment using iterative development methodologies to create robust, high-quality production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Review business and functional requirements provided by the Product Management team.
Craft technical design documentation and contribute to technical design discussions that will result in new business or technical enhancements.
Contribute to the roadmap and continually review existing architecture for improvements.
Develop, test, debug, and implement code for existing and new functionality.
Perform full stack development using Java, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, and Webservices.
Work in an Agile software development process, contributing to story and task creation.
Work with QA to ensure high quality releases are delivered.
Rapidly address issues and fix defects discovered during client implementations when needed.
Work with Information Security and Governance teams to ensure the product is high quality, resilient, and secure, aligning with development policies and controls.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Core Java development.
Proficiency in Java, Multi-threading, Data Structures, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JMS, and Webservices.
Experience with Docker containerization, Microservices, and Cloud exposure.
Knowledge of AWS cloud, Kubernetes platform, and financial domain experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Formal experience or background in Java development (implied by 10+ years requirement).

Compensation range between $135,000 - $145,000, with factors including experience, skills, and education.
