Lead Software Engineer, CoCounsel AI Assistant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build user-facing features that drive the CoCounsel chat application and platform capabilities to enable partners to reach customers.
• Develop application code, framework, and component libraries that are delightful and easy to use, while promoting team efficiency and agility.
• Bring deep expertise in frontend engineering, considering backend and platform implications, especially as LLM capabilities evolve, requiring coordinated changes across the stack.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the technical stack and communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering team members, and contribute to strategic and tactical solutions.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in technical leadership, such as mentoring engineers and breaking features into stories.
• Deep expertise in front-end technologies and architectures, including React, micro-frontends/module federation, event-driven systems, TypeScript, API design, and real-time communication methods like websockets, RPC, or SSEs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Self-starter mentality with quick learning and adaptability.
• Proven ability to execute both tactical and strategic solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, large language models, machine learning applications, metrics, and agentic systems.
• Track record of utilizing cutting-edge AI tooling and techniques.
• Strong opinions about the future of LLM-driven application UX.

Qualifications

• Formal computer science education is a plus but not required.
