About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineering team. The Lead engineer will lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of IAM software solutions (e.g., IBM Security Verify Governance, Oracle Identity Management, Sailpoint) in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Agile environment. The role involves leading engagements with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and engineers to drive design and development of IAM solutions, as well as mentoring team members. The team focuses on optimizing capabilities to meet IAM strategic goals, overseeing production deployment, and supporting access control design and development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise environment, and technical challenges
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions, influencing and leading technology teams
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Requirements

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Ability to identify complex technical issues

Nice to Have

5+ years of experience leading and executing the design and development of innovative solutions and driving recommendations for changes to data systems, infrastructure, or processes
5+ years of experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
5+ years of experience working in development of identity and access management solutions specifically using tools like IBM Security Verify Governance, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), or Sailpoint
5+ years of experience of software architecture and design patterns
5+ years of experience with databases, cloud platforms, and other relevant technologies
5+ years of programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
